Introducing the SynBioHub at Atria University

A new AI-for-synthetic-biology hub bringing together AI, wet-lab microbial engineering and applied, partner-driven R&D.

The SynBioHub, within Atria University’s Centre of Excellence in Life Sciences, brings together three capabilities under one roof: the SynBioAI platform for AI-guided design, SynBioLabs for wet-lab microbial engineering, and SynBioResearch for applied, partner-driven projects.

Our focus is practical: AI-guided microbial and enzyme engineering for real-world impact, from circularity and decarbonization to biomanufacturing and therapeutics — the kinds of problems our partners already face, from battery-metal recovery to enzyme and strain engineering. We work through a tight design–build–test loop, and we’re growing the research group with scientists and MS / PhD researchers.
